Aishwarya Deshpande

Biography

I am a fifth year PhD student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin Madison. My research focuses on utilizing recycled machining chips as a usable feedstock in fusion based as well as solid state additive manufacturing processes. The motivation of this research is to improve the understanding and implementation of circular manufacturing to reduce energy consumption, cost and increase resource efficiency.
